Promete entretenimiento su instalación, si bien la instalación hasta ahora de Cumulative Updates en SharePoint 2010 ofrece menos problemas y errores que los que había en MOSS 2007. Lo que más me llama la atención es que posteriormente a la instalación del SP1, haya que instalar el Cumulative Update de Junio de 2011, si bien, se explica en el artículo referenciado ¿?¿?¿?

Verobose Diagnostic Logging en MOSS 2007 y SharePoint ULS Viewer

Como método de análisis de errores en SharePoint, éstos son los pasos para activar y ejecutar el modo "Verbose" (verboso o detallado) en los logs de la plataforma SharePoint, y cómo volver a dejarlos en su modo por defecto, una vez obtengamos los registros necesarios para poder localizar qué nos está produciendo problemas:

# Desde el Command Prompt en: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\bin

1. Ejecutar stsadm -o setlogginglevel -tracelevel Verbose

2. Reproduciremos el problema que nos está generando la paltaforma (anotaremos la fecha y hora para ayudarnos a detectar el problema)

3. Una vez se reproduzca el error volvermos a dejar el nivel de logs por defecto con la instrucción: stsadm -o setlogginglevel -default (vuelva a su estado normal)

4. En la siguiente ruta dispondremos de los logs que se van generando C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\Logs

Instalando Project Server 2007 sobre Windows Server 2008 R2

Recogemos las consideraciones a tener en cuenta en caso de tener que afrontar la instalación de Project Server 2007 sobre Windows Server 2008 R2, dado que no podremos hacerlo de manera nativa, si no que será necesario incluir en la instalación el SP2 de producto, pues nos encontraremos ante el mensaje “The program is blocked due to compatibility issues.” al iniciar la instalación desde el DVD original. Lo mismo aplica para SharePoint 2007.

Plantilla STP para Liga Deportiva en WSS 3.0

Encontré esta plantilla de WSS3.0 y MOSS2007 para un sitio que tuve que montar para seguimiento de una liga desportiva, fácil y sencilla.

Eliminar registros de auditoría del sitio. Tabla dbo.auditdata y stsadm -o trimauditlog

Como administradores de SharePoint nos podemos encontrar ante la circunstancia de tener que eliminar registros de la tabla dbo.auditdata para eliminar registros de la auditoría del sitio.

Hay que tener especial precacución a la hora de habilitar la auditoría de un sitio de SharePoint por el espacio en disco que va a consumir.

Para el caso en que tengamos que eliminar registros de lo auditado, utilizaremos el siguiente comando:

stsadm -o trimauditlog
   -url
   -date
   -databasename
   [-databaseserver]
